How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electronic Design Engineer - Test Equipment

    The Role - Electronic Design Engineer

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a rounded Electronic Design Engineer to join a thriving engineering and manufacturing business in Staverton.

    As a Electronic Design Engineer, you’ll support a number of areas in Test Development including Test Equipment Design, Development, build, commissioning and maintenance.

    Being a medium sized business, this role would suit someone who wants wide role coverage and an opportunity to develop in across these areas combining hands on support with technical engineering capability.

    Duties - Electronic Design Engineer

    Designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems internally.
    Developing equipment for both product introductions (NPI) and ongoing production.
    Maintaining and enhancing existing test.
    Investigating and resolving test-related issues affecting manufacturing.
    Collaborating with wider engineering teams to ensure effective test coverage.
    Analysing test data to identify opportunities for system improvements.
    Developing technical documentation, work instructions, and support materials.

    Background - Electronic Design Engineer

    Experience in design and build of electronic test equipment.
    Hardware development and integration focused on measurement capability
    Embedded C, Python experience desirable.
    LabVIEW application development exposure.
    Experience realising test system design concepts with CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
    A good understanding of electronic test methods and fault finding
