How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver

    Location: Northamptonshire (NN11)
    Pay: £17.50 per hour + Overtime at £22.50 per hour (after 40 hours)
    Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am starts | Typically 7–10 hours per day

    We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Tanker Driver to join a well-established family-run business based in Northamptonshire.

    Our client has many years of experience servicing septic tanks, treatment plants, and commercial grease traps, and has built an excellent reputation for providing a professional and dependable service across the region.

    This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering regular weekday work, local routes, and the chance to join a friendly and supportive team.

    Most work is carried out within approximately 90 minutes of the depot, meaning you'll benefit from varied work while still being home every night.

    The Role

    Operating a tanker vehicle to service septic tanks, grease traps, and treatment plants
    Completing scheduled collections and disposals safely and efficiently
    Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
    Providing a professional service to customers on-site
    Maintaining accurate paperwork and records

    Typical Shift Length: 7–10 hours
    Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour
    Overtime: £22.50 per hour after 40 hours worked per week

    Requirements

    Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence preferred
    Class 2 (Category C) drivers will also be considered
    Valid CPC Qualification Card
    Digital Tachograph Card
    Tanker experience beneficial but not essential
    Good communication skills
    Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
    Reliable, hardworking, and professional approach
