How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager

    Location: West Yorkshire
    Salary: £65,000–£90,000 basic salary
    Benefits: Pension, company car/car allowance, private healthcare

    The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of works across the rail and civil engineering sectors.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, compliantly, within budget and to agreed timescales. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders, while identifying new opportunities to support the growth of a sustainable portfolio of work and maximise revenue generation.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary contractor with a clear pathway for progression into a senior leadership role.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Oversee the delivery of a portfolio of rail and civil engineering projects.

    * Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.

    * Manage project performance, budgets, programmes and commercial outcomes.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.

    * Identify and develop new business opportunities.

    * Support revenue growth and the development of a sustainable pipeline of work.

    * Provide leadership and direction to project teams.

    * Ensure effective management of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.

    * Contribute to the strategic development of the business and its client base.

    The Person

    Ideally, you will have a proven track record in the delivery of medium-sized packages of work within the rail and civil engineering sectors and will be looking to take the next step in your career.

    You will possess:

    * Strong project and contract management experience.

    * A background in rail, civils, renewables or a related infrastructure environment.

    * Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.

    * A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards.

    * Experience managing budgets, programmes and project delivery.

    * The ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

    * A commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify new opportunities.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
