How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    PAINT SPRAYER

    Location: Bishop's Stortford
    Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 DOE + Company Bonuses

    THE ROLE
    As a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to a high standard, ensuring every repair meets manufacturer and customer expectations.

    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Preparing repaired vehicles and panels for paint application.
    ·Mixing and colour matching paints to achieve an accurate factory finish.
    ·Applying primer, basecoat and clearcoat using modern spray-painting techniques.
    ·Carrying out polishing, rectification and final quality inspections where required.
    ·Working closely with Panel Beaters and MET Technicians to ensure an efficient repair process.
    ·Maintaining spray booths, equipment and work areas to a high standard.
    ·Following manufacturer specifications and health and safety procedures at all times.
    ·Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician who takes pride in producing outstanding paint finishes and enjoys working within a fast-paced Bodyshop environment.

    You will ideally have:
    ·Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician or Paint Refinisher within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
    ·A recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ, IMI, SVQ or ATA) or equivalent industry experience.
    ·Excellent colour matching and paint application skills.
    ·Strong knowledge of modern refinishing techniques and paint systems.
    ·The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
    ·A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
    ·A full UK driving licence.
