How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Do you enjoy turning complex engineering programmes into successful manufacturing outcomes?

We're supporting a leading UK advanced engineering and defence manufacturer as they continue to invest in new products, manufacturing capability and production systems. As part of this growth, we're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead the delivery of complex engineering and manufacturing projects from concept through to production and customer acceptance.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role within a highly regulated environment, working alongside engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and customer teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

    The Role

You'll take ownership of multiple manufacturing engineering projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle. Using Primavera P6, you'll develop and manage integrated project schedules, monitor progress, manage risks and communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

You'll also play an important role in manufacturing readiness, supporting ERP developments, driving continuous improvement and ensuring projects are delivered in line with demanding engineering and quality standards.

    What You'll Be Doing

Lead manufacturing engineering projects from concept through to production.
Develop and manage integrated project plans using Primavera P6.
Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain activities.
Manage project risks, issues, change control and configuration throughout delivery.
Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Deliver project reviews, progress reports and technical presentations.
Support manufacturing readiness and production planning activities.
Contribute to ERP and manufacturing system improvements.
Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and manufacturing performance.

    About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience delivering engineering or manufacturing projects within defence, aerospace or another highly regulated industry.

    You'll ideally bring:

Experience managing engineering or manufacturing projects.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
Excellent planning, scheduling and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams.
Knowledge of project governance, risk management and change control.
An engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or similar.

Professional project management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2 or PMP), Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience supporting ERP implementations would be advantageous but are not essential.

    Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation investing heavily in its manufacturing capability and future technologies. You'll work on technically challenging programmes with genuine long-term impact, collaborating with experienced engineering professionals in an environment where project delivery, innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued.

If you're an experienced Project Manager with strong manufacturing and Primavera P6 experience and you're looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you
