Location: Midlands (Home Based with weekly visits to Leicester)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year + overtime (dependent on experience)

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Gate Automation Engineer to join their team, covering the Midlands area.

The Role
This is a field-based position, primarily working from home, with weekly visits to the Leicester base required to collect equipment, replenish stock and prepare for upcoming work.
You will be responsible for:
Installing new Gate Automation Systems
Carrying out retrofits and safety upgrades
Servicing and maintaining existing systems
Fault finding and repairs
Installing access control and door entry systems
Completing detailed reports using a company tablet
Liaising with customers and residents professionally
Working individually and as part of a team
Carrying out groundworks during new installations where required
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within Gate Automation and Access Control systems.
You will ideally have:
Experience with Gate Automation Systems such as CAME, ROGER, BENINCA or BFT
Knowledge of Door Entry Systems, Access Control Panels or Door Automation systems (beneficial)
Experience with welding (beneficial)
A valid UK driving licence
Fluent spoken and written English
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements relating to gate and door automation
The ability to work independently and manage deadlines
A responsible approach when working with customers, property and team members
Electrical Installation qualifications would be advantageous
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
40 hours per week
Additional weekday hours paid at normal rate
Optional Saturday work paid at time and a half
No out-of-hours call outs, supporting a good work-life balance
