We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered General Nurses at Band 6 level, specializing in safeguarding children to work in 3 offices across South Wales in separate positions. See below for breakdown.

This role will be a mix of working from home managing your own caseload to visiting Head Offices based in these three locations depending on your direct employer.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate safeguarding assessments for children at risk, ensuring thorough evaluation of their needs and circumstances, blending office and home work with the occasion visit to families directly.
* Collaborate closely with multi-agency teams, including social services, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals, to develop comprehensive care plans
* Provide expert guidance on safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practices
* Deliver high-quality patient care tailored to the unique needs of children involved in safeguarding cases
* Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and case progress in accordance with legal and organizational requirements
* Support training initiatives to enhance staff awareness and understanding of safeguarding protocols
* Act as a point of contact for complex safeguarding issues, offering advice and support to colleagues and external partners
Experience
* Proven experience working as a Band 6 Registered General Nurse within pediatric or child safeguarding settings
* Experience as a School Nurse would be advantageous, but not necessary if you match the criteria and background naturally.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to Pediatric care and injury assessment
* Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough patient care assessments with sensitivity and professionalism
* Familiarity with safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures at local and national levels
* Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and multi-agency teams
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and resilience
* Relevant certifications in child safeguarding or protection are highly desirable
There are 3 positions available at the moment in Cardiff, Swansea and North Wales to which Med Team are recruiting for all. This would be ideal for a Band 6 Nurse looking for more time working from home, and isn't against visiting their designated Head Office for meetings etc.
