How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    MIG/TIG Welder

    Location: Hinckley
    Job Type: Temp – 3 months
    Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm. Friday 7am – 12pm
    Pay: £20 - £23 per hour DOE

    We are recruiting a MIG/TIG welder to join a busy manufacturing company based in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components while following technical drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.

    This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other metals as required

    * Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols

    * Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently

    * Prepare materials and components for welding, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting

    * Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications

    * Identify and correct welding defects when necessary

    * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area

    * Follow all company health and safety procedures

    * Complete work to required deadlines and quality standards

    * Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of welding equipment

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as a MIG/TIG Welder or in a similar welding role

    * Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience required

    * Ability to read and understand technical drawings

    * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

    * Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    * Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
