How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Systems Engineer
    CCL Global is recruiting an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support the design and delivery of advanced electrical power conversion systems for high-profile marine and power generation projects.
    Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end electrical systems design of motors, generators, drives and switchboards, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture, testing and final delivery.
    Location: Warwickshire
    Contract Type: 6 Month contract, Inside IR35
    Clearance: Active SC or Eligible
    Key Responsibilities
    * Design and integrate electrical systems to meet customer requirements.
    * Produce electrical schematics using E-Plan (or equivalent).
    * Create 2D electrical layouts using AutoCAD.
    * Develop and manage Bills of Materials within Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
    * Support manufacturing, procurement and supplier quality activities.
    * Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and technical reviews.
    * Apply Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA) principles throughout the design lifecycle.
    * Provide technical support across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
    Essential Requirements
    * Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
    * Strong electrical systems design experience.
    * Proficient with E-Plan (or similar electrical CAD software).
    * AutoCAD experience producing electrical layouts.
    * Good understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical testing and system integration.
    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    * Having an Active SC clearance or eligible to obtain SC.
    * Siemens Teamcenter PLM experience.
    * Project planning or project management exposure.
    * Experience with active magnetic bearing systems.
    * Background within marine, defence, power generation or industrial power conversion environments.
