How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Senior Transformation Leader, Insurance Broking & Insurance Market Enterprise Transformation

    London (hybrid)

    Perm

    Up to £120,000pa

    What Is the Role?

As Senior Transformation Leader for Insurance Broking and the Lloyd’s Market, you will provide strategic and delivery leadership for enterprise scale transformation across one of the UK’s largest insurance brokers. You will shape and drive the stabilisation, unification, and harmonisation of the broking technology estate, bringing fragmented platforms and processes together into a coherent, resilient, and future ready foundation, while setting direction across platform modernisation, data and AI enablement, and operating model redesign.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise architecture, and engineering delivery.

Working as part of a strategic delivery partnership, embedded with the client’s business and technology leadership, you will translate complex financial and regulatory requirements across broking, policy administration, claims, risk management, and reinsurance into executable change that delivers measurable business value at scale.

    What Will You Be Doing?

    Transformation Leadership & Vision

    • Define, own, and communicate the transformation roadmap, aligning platform, data, and operating model change to the broker’s commercial and market strategy.

    • Establish the transformation programme as the strategic vehicle for modernising the broking ecosystem, from placement through to settlement and reporting.

    • Lead the design and delivery of platform stabilisation, unification, and harmonisation across the insurance value chain.

    • Set direction for system integration through a modern digital backbone, and for finance systems integration, ensuring accurate and auditable flows across the estate.

    • Translate regulatory, market, and competitive drivers, including Lloyd’s modernisation, into a coherent and prioritised change portfolio. Governance, Risk & Assurance

    • Own programme governance, financials, RAID management, gated stage reviews, and executive reporting.

    • Establish and chair delivery assurance and design authority forums on behalf of leadership, developing decision frameworks and reporting on governance outcomes.

    • Conduct programme and architecture reviews, providing guidance to delivery teams on standards, patterns, and compliance.

    • Identify and mitigate delivery and technical risks, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as FCA, Lloyd’s, GDPR, and operational resilience.

    • Undertake due diligence of vendor systems and solutions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and policies. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

    • Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior executives and business line leaders, shaping the case for change and securing sponsorship and investment.

    • Represent transformation direction at key change programme, project, and business stakeholder meetings.

    • Provide consultative subject matter expertise on broking, Lloyd’s market operations, and platform capabilities to teams across the wider business.

    • Collaborate with enterprise architects, platform leads, and business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals. Continuous Improvement & Team Leadership

    • Continuously assess and optimise platforms, processes, and operating models for performance, scalability, resilience, and efficiency.

    • Lead organisational change management, stakeholder engagement, and adoption to make change stick.

    • Mentor delivery teams and foster a culture of innovation, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement.

    • Work in an agile, collaborative manner, adapting to evolving business needs, constructively challenging ideas, and remaining open to feedback.

    What Are We Looking For?

The successful candidate will be a visionary yet pragmatic, outcomes focused transformation leader who is comfortable taking ownership, operating at board level, and turning complex change into tangible business value. Deep, specialist expertise in UK insurance broking and the Lloyd’s and London market is essential, as are strong communication skills and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • 10+ years leading enterprise scale transformation and technology programmes, with a track record of delivering high value initiatives on outcome, budget, and time.

    • Deep, specialist domain expertise in UK insurance broking and the Lloyd’s and London market, including placement, binding, delegated authority, MGAs, market messaging, and settlement.

    • Demonstrable experience across platform modernisation, data and AI enablement, and operating model redesign.

    • Proven track record of stabilising, consolidating, and harmonising complex platform estates, ideally within an acquisitive environment following mergers and acquisitions.

    • Breadth across the insurance value chain: broking, policy administration, claims management, risk management, and reinsurance, spanning multiple lines including specialty.

    • Strong systems integration background, including integration of core finance systems with policy, claims, and settlement platforms.

    • Strong grounding in enterprise architecture concepts and the ability to challenge and steer technical direction credibly.

    • Excellent programme governance discipline, including business cases, benefits realisation, financial control, RAID, and executive reporting.

    • Strong vendor and systems integrator management, including commercial and contractual negotiation.

    • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages to senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams
