How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title Welding Engineer

    Summary We’re looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to lead welding activities and drive continuous improvement across site operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional who thrives in managing welding coordination and ensuring compliance with recognised standards. If you have a strong technical background and enjoy creating efficient, safe processes, this role could be ideal for you.

    Location and Working Pattern On-site | 39 hours per week

    Client Overview Our client operates within the engineering sector and is committed to delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions. They uphold a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across their operations.
    Responsibilities
    Lead and coordinate welding activities across the site
    Act as the Responsible Welding Coordinator to ensure compliance with standards
    Develop, implement, and improve the site-wide welding management system
    Investigate welding defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
    Provide technical support to production and engineering teams
    Create and maintain Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
    Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
    Contribute to FMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Change processesMust-have Requirements
    Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (BEng/BSc)
    Certified International/European Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE)
    Prior experience in a similar Welding Engineer role
    Background in Engineering, Oil & Gas, or Renewables sectors
    Strong knowledge of welding systems and processes
    Experience with manufacturing environments using large-scale equipment and semi-automated welding technologies
    Specialist knowledge of Weld Procedure Specifications
    Practical experience with welding techniques including:
    FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
    GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
    Submerged Arc Welding
    Understanding of FMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Change processes
    Working knowledge of ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001Nice-to-have Skills
    Experience in developing advanced welding technologies
