How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are now looking for an Industrial Welder / Fabricator to join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 25.5 hours across three days per week.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced industrial or factory welder with MIG and/or TIG welding skills and steel working experience to join our well-established and respected manufacturing business.

    The Role

    As an Industrial Welder / Fabricator, you will manufacture and assemble high-quality components for our range of engineered products.

    Specifically, you will carry out MIG and TIG welding, fabrication and assembly activities, preparing and fitting components, interpreting engineering drawings and producing high-quality welds using a range of materials, including mild steel and stainless steel.

    You will inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, carry out finishing operations and basic manual machining where required, and use a range of workshop tools and equipment to support efficient production.

    Additionally, you will:

    - Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
    - Look after welding equipment, tools and machinery
    - Work closely with the production team to meet quality and delivery targets
    - Support continuous improvement initiatives
    - Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes
    - Comply with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures

    About You

    To be considered as an Industrial Welder / Fabricator, you will need:

    - Previous experience in a general industrial or factory welding role
    - Experience working with mild steel and/or stainless steel
    - Good practical MIG and/or TIG welding skills
    - The ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
    - A flexible approach with a willingness to support different areas of production
    - A strong commitment to safe working practices and maintaining an organised workplace
