How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role offers a fantastic blend of strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and support regional capital improvement projects from planning through to completion.

    * Manage funding applications and capital investment programmes.

    * Support the implementation of asset management and estates planning systems.

    * Coordinate insurance-related estate matters and claims activity where required.

    Compliance & Maintenance

    * Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure statutory compliance.

    * Monitor maintenance programmes and ensure planned preventative maintenance schedules are completed.

    * Support sites in maintaining safe, compliant, and effective environments.

    * Oversee risk management processes relating to estates and facilities.

    Stakeholder Management

    * Act as the key regional contact for contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.

    * Build effective working relationships with operational leaders and site teams.

    * Provide expert estates advice and support to senior stakeholders.

    Leadership & Development

    * Coach and support site teams to improve estates management standards.

    * Deliver training and guidance on estates, compliance, maintenance, and health and safety responsibilities.

    * Promote best practice and continuous improvement across all sites.

    Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

    * Drive sustainability initiatives and environmental improvements.

    * Support energy efficiency and carbon reduction programmes.

    * Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, value for money, and service delivery.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Proven experience in Estates Management, Facilities Management, Property Management, or a similar role.

    * Experience overseeing multiple sites and managing varied stakeholder groups.

    * Strong project management experience, including capital works and refurbishment projects.

    * Knowledge of statutory compliance, health and safety requirements, and maintenance planning.

    * Experience managing contractors and external suppliers.

    * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    * Experience managing maintenance contracts, compliance programmes, and risk registers.

    * Relevant professional qualifications in Facilities Management, Estates Management, Property, Construction, or Project Management.

    * NEBOSH qualification or similar health and safety qualification would be advantageous.

    Why Apply?

    Salary of £53,000 - £60,000 per annum.
