About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer, Setter, and Operator to join their growing engineering team in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work within a precision manufacturing environment, producing high-quality components to exacting standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, working across both 3-axis and 5-axis equipment. This role requires a strong technical understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately from engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines.
* Work with both 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres.
* Produce precision-engineered components to specification.
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
* Understand and apply geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
* Carry out inspections using a variety of measuring equipment.
* Select and utilise appropriate cutting tools for efficient machining processes.
* Work in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
About You
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller with programming, setting, and operating responsibilities.
* Experience working with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines.
* Knowledge of Heidenhain controls would be highly advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
* Strong understanding of precision machining and inspection techniques.
* Organised, reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work.
* Positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality work.
