How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Miller/Turner (Power Generation/Marine)

    Up to £21 per hour + Overtime + Training + Progression + Pension

    Are you a CNC Miller / Turner or similar looking to build a long-term career within an established precision engineering company who supply into the power generation and marine sectors?

    Do you want to join an engineering company who manufacture white metal bearings and produce laser cuts, who are offering hands on mentoring from senior staff, and provides career progression into management roles?

    On offer, is the opportunity for a CNC Miller/Turner or similar to join a successful engineering manufacturing products such as white metal bearings and laser cuts across a variety of engineering industries. With a strong reputation and a high employee retention, the business is seeking to add an machinist to its tight-knit team.

    In this role, the successful CNC Miller/Turner will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery. The successful candidate will be working alongside senior engineers, ensuring that they are fully adapted to the different workspace environment, whilst also offering training and shadowing if necessary.

    The ideal CNC Miller/Turner or similar will possess a Mechanical Engineering qualification, with practical machining, setting, or programming experience.

    L3 City and Guilds Mechanical Engineer qualification
