The Role
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to
individuals with a range of mental health needs while working collaboratively with
multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe and effective mental health nursing care in line with NMC
standards.
Complete patient assessments, care planning, risk assessments, and clinical
reviews.
Support individuals experiencing acute and complex mental health conditions.
Administer medication safely and monitor patient responses.
Develop therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and healthcare
professionals.
Promote recovery-focused care, independence, dignity, and patient wellbeing.
Recognise changes in patients' mental and physical health and escalate
concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
Work effectively alongside multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient
outcomes.
Follow safeguarding, infection prevention, and clinical governance
procedures.
Essential Requirements
Current NMC Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
Minimum 6 months' UK mental health nursing experience.
Previous experience within mental health hospitals, inpatient services,
community mental health, or specialist settings.
Valid Enhanced DBS.
Professional references covering the last 3 years of employment.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach.
Right to work in the UK.
