Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with this Client, a vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in the borough of Lambeth, to appoint a passionate and committed A Level Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mathematics specialist to inspire and challenge students at Key Stage 5, while also contributing to the wider Mathematics curriculum within a supportive and ambitious school community.

Inspectors highlighted the school's positive learning environment, effective teaching practice, and high expectations for both behaviour and academic achievement. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging A Level Maths lessons, developing students' confidence in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and advanced concepts. You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess and track student progress, prepare learners for A Level examinations, and contribute to departmental resources, enrichment activities, and the continued development of the Mathematics curriculum.

Job role requirements include teaching A Level Mathematics, strong subject knowledge across the post-16 curriculum, the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous lessons, effective classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to supporting students in achieving the highest academic standards. You should be confident in using assessment data to inform planning, provide targeted intervention, and support students preparing for university and future careers requiring strong mathematical skills.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject, and experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting, including A Level. A strong understanding of A Level Maths specifications and examination requirements is essential. The successful teacher will be enthusiastic, analytical, and passionate about Mathematics, with the ability to motivate high-achieving students and build positive relationships with learners and colleagues.
