How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Senior Business Development Manager Lead – UK Market Expansion

UK Based | Hybrid Working | First UK Commercial Hire

Join a Global Technology Leader Driving Cloud & Digital Transformation

Are you an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning new business within the UK B2B technology market?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global technology organisation entering a significant phase of growth within the UK market. As the first dedicated UK commercial hire, you will play a pivotal role in building market presence, developing strategic relationships and securing new business opportunities across key sectors.

The business is an established global technology provider, working with leading partners including IBM, delivering innovative cloud, infrastructure and digital transformation solutions to organisations worldwide.

    The Opportunity

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of driving new business growth across the UK, identifying and engaging organisations that can benefit from the company's technology solutions.

This is a true hunter role, ideal for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships from scratch and converting opportunities into long-term strategic partnerships.

You will be an individual contributor, taking full ownership of opportunities from initial prospecting through to commercial negotiation and successful contract closure. You will work closely with the Sales Director and wider global team to develop the UK market, strengthen strategic partnerships and establish the company as a trusted technology provider.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop and execute a new business strategy focused on UK market growth.

    * Identify, engage and convert new commercial opportunities across target sectors.

    * Own the complete sales lifecycle from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation, contract signature and handover.

    * Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and senior business leaders.

    * Develop a strong pipeline of qualified enterprise opportunities through direct sales activity and strategic networking.

    * Leverage existing technology partnerships, including the IBM ecosystem, to accelerate business growth.

    * Establish long-term customer relationships and become a trusted commercial advisor.

    * Provide market insight and customer feedback to support wider business strategy.

    * Collaborate with international technical, delivery and leadership teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.

    About You

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven business development professional who thrives in a high-growth environment and enjoys building markets from the ground up.

    You will have:

    * Proven success in a senior B2B technology sales or business development role within the UK market.

    * A demonstrable track record of winning new enterprise business as a hands-on individual contributor, taking ownership of opportunities from first engagement through to successful closure.

    * Experience selling cloud, infrastructure, managed services or enterprise technology solutions.

    * Strong commercial understanding of the IBM and/or Red Hat ecosystem, or experience selling complementary enterprise infrastructure and cloud technologies.

    * Experience selling into Financial Services, Banking, FinTech or other highly regulated industries.

    * The confidence, credibility and commercial presence to engage and influence C-suite decision makers, including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and senior executives.

    * A consultative, solution-led sales approach with the ability to understand customer challenges and position technology around business outcomes.

    * Existing relationships and networks within the UK enterprise technology market would be highly advantageous.

    * The resilience, energy and entrepreneurial mindset required to establish a new market presence and build long-term customer relationships.

    Why Join?

This is a rare opportunity to become the first UK commercial hire for a growing global technology organisation at an exciting stage of its international expansion.

You'll have the autonomy to shape the company's UK market strategy, build relationships with leading enterprise organisations and play a pivotal role in establishing Heimr's presence within the UK. As the first person on the ground, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact whilst helping to build something from the ground up.

Whilst you'll enjoy the independence and ownership that comes with the role, you'll also be joining an organisation renowned for its collaborative, supportive and people-first culture. You'll work closely with an experienced international leadership team who are passionate about sharing knowledge, supporting one another and celebrating success together.

Backed by a well-established global business, strategic partnerships with IBM and access to innovative cloud, infrastructure and digital transformation solutions, you'll be joining a company with ambitious growth plans and a clear vision for the future.

If you're excited by the opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial journey, build a lasting legacy in the UK market and grow alongside a business that genuinely values its people, this is an opportunity not to be missed
