How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in challenging existing ways of working, implementing improvements and helping shape the future direction of the manufacturing function.

    Client Details

My client is an established and growing food manufacturing business supplying products into the UK market. Following sustained growth, the business is investing significantly in its operations, including new production equipment, expanded warehousing capacity and upgraded employee facilities.

The site is entering an exciting phase of development and is looking to strengthen its leadership team with the appointment of a Manufacturing Manager who can help drive performance, improve processes and support the next stage of growth.

With a strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement and customer service, the business is seeking a leader who can challenge existing ways of working, build capability within the team and help create a more structured, high-performing manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where you'll have genuine influence, work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the operation.

Supporting business improvement and investment projects.
Building a culture focused on performance, engagement and operational excellence.
Acting as a key member of the site leadership team and deputy to the General Manager when required.

    Profile

I am keen to speak with candidates who have:

Proven leadership experience within food manufacturing.
A track record of improving operational performance and manufacturing processes.
Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
