How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Secondary Mathematics Teacher – Kings Langley

    Location: Kings Langley area
    Salary: £32,776-£47,839+
    Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
    Start Date: ASAP

    About the Role:

    Supply Desk are looking for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Kings Langley area. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

    This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking to join a supportive school that values high-quality teaching, professional development and student success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum
    • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities and learning styles
    • Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
    • Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where students can thrive
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum
    • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and academic achievement
    • Encourage students to develop resilience, critical thinking and a positive attitude towards Mathematics

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
    • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics education
    • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
    • The ability to engage, motivate and inspire secondary-aged students
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
