About the Opportunity
My client is a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering major highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a significant project award, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a flagship highways scheme in Bedford.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of a major highways project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
You will be:
·Managing the day-to-day delivery of a major highways infrastructure scheme from inception through to completion.
·Leading site teams, engineers and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
·Overseeing programme delivery, commercial performance and project budgets.
·Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
·Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
·Identifying and managing project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
·Producing regular project reports and providing updates to senior management.
·Driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards of project delivery throughout.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this Project Manager role, you will ideally have:
·Proven experience delivering highways or major civil engineering projects.
·Strong project management experience within the highways or infrastructure sector.
·Excellent leadership and people management skills.
·A good understanding of NEC contracts.
·Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience.
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
·Relevant construction or engineering qualifications, with professional membership being advantageous.
