How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Producing and maintaining operational procedures, method statements and technical documentation.

    * Managing key subcontractors and building long-term strategic partnerships.

    * Providing technical expertise during tender submissions, identifying safe, practical and cost-effective installation methodologies.

    * Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery, maintaining strong working relationships.

    * Promoting a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture across all offshore operations.

    * Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve operational performance.

    * Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Qualifications

    * Engineering degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

    Experience

    * Minimum of 10 years' experience within subsea cables, offshore construction or marine operations.

    * Strong project management experience delivering offshore or subsea projects.

    * Experience within the offshore wind or subsea cable industry would be highly advantageous.

    * Sound understanding of vessel operations and offshore logistics.

    * Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

    Skills

    * Excellent leadership and people management skills.

    * Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.

    * Commercial awareness with experience supporting tender and bid activities.

    * Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

    * A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    What's On Offer?

    * A senior leadership role with both strategic influence and technical responsibility.

    * Long-term career progression within a growing offshore and subsea operation.

    * Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

    * Competitive salary and benefits package, including pension, life assurance, Cycle to Work scheme and flexible working options where appropriate
