How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vendor Licence Analyst
    Fully Remote UK – Quarterly Face-to-Face Meetings
    £40,000 – £50,000

    VIQU are partnering with a high-growth technology organisation operating within the cyber resilience and backup space, seeking a highly analytical Vendor Licence Analyst to join a growing commercial analytics function. This newly created role will focus on analysing vendor licensing consumption, commercial commitments and customer usage to provide greater visibility of licensing positions, renewal exposure, forecasting and gross profit impact. The ideal candidate will have around 2–3 years of commercial experience, although strong early-career candidates will also be considered, alongside excellent analytical skills and strong experience with Power BI, Excel and SQL. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially curious Vendor Licence Analyst to take ownership of a new area of responsibility and develop into a broader Revenue Operations and commercial analytics function as the business continues to grow.

    Key Responsibilities of the Vendor Licence Analyst:

    • Analyse vendor licensing consumption
    • Review licensing purchases and customer usage
    • Monitor vendor commitments and renewal exposure
    • Assess licensing efficiency and commercial performance
    • Identify unused capacity and over-purchasing
    • Identify undercharging and overcommitment
    • Produce licensing and commercial reporting
    • Build dashboards using Power BI and Excel
    • Analyse datasets using SQL and Python
    • Report on forecasting and gross profit impact
    • Present findings and challenge assumptions
    • Improve commercial data accuracy and visibility
    • Support the development of Revenue Operations

    Key Experience Required of the Vendor Licence Analyst:

    • 2–3 years’ commercial experience ideally
    • Strong analytical and commercial mindset
    • Excellent Power BI, Excel and SQL skills
    • Python experience is advantageous
    • Strong data analysis and reporting experience
    • Technology industry experience is beneficial
    • FinOps or licensing experience is not essential
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Proactive and commercially curious
    • Confident challenging assumptions and presenting findings
    • AI tooling experience is advantageous
