About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Durham, seeking a talented and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their successful department from September 2026 until Christmas 2026.
This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and ambitious school environment, delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence and proficiency in mathematics, helping them build the skills and knowledge needed to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Assess, monitor, and support student progress
Create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
Contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
The ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
Two professional references covering the last two years
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach to teaching
