The Role
As a Housing Assessor (Level 3–5), you will deliver fair, consistent, and compliant assessment across Housing Apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.
Working remotely, you'll conduct End-Point Assessment (EPA) and on-programme assessment activities while supporting quality assurance, assessment development, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver End-Point Assessment (EPA) and vocational assessment across Housing Level 3–5 Apprenticeships and qualifications.
* Assess portfolios, professional discussions, observations, assignments, case studies, and knowledge-based assessments against occupational standards.
* Make accurate, evidence-based assessment decisions in line with grading criteria, assessment plans, and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate assessment records and submit assessment outcomes within agreed service levels.
* Participate in moderation, standardisation, and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency across assessment delivery.
* Work closely with Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and External Quality Assurance (EQA) teams to maintain compliance with Ofqual and apprenticeship requirements.
* Act as a Housing subject matter expert, ensuring assessment practice reflects current legislation, professional standards, and sector developments.
* Contribute to the development and review of assessment materials, grading guidance, and assessment resources to support apprenticeship reform.
* Collaborate with Quality, Product Development, Operations, and Partnership teams to improve assessment delivery and learner outcomes.
* Support employers, training providers, and delivery partners by providing guidance on assessment processes and best practice.
* Analyse assessment feedback and quality data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Promote high standards of professionalism, integrity, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout assessment delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for an experienced Housing Assessor, EPA Assessor, Apprenticeship Assessor, Housing Officer, Housing Manager, or Vocational Assessor with strong occupational knowledge and assessment expertise.
You will have:
* Experience delivering End-Point Assessment (EPA), apprenticeship assessment, or vocational qualifications.
* Occupational competence and industry experience within the Housing sector.
* Strong knowledge of Housing Apprenticeship Standards at Levels 3–5.
* Excellent understanding of apprenticeship assessment plans, grading criteria, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience participating in moderation, standardisation, or quality assurance activities.
* Ability to make consistent, evidence-based assessment decisions with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, working effectively with employers, providers, and internal teams.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage assessment workloads and meet deadlines.
* A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality assessment standards.
Desirable
* Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).
* Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) experience or qualification.
* Knowledge of Ofqual requirements, apprenticeship funding rules, and current apprenticeship reforms.
* Experience developing assessment materials, assessment guidance, or quality documentation.
