How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Make accurate, evidence-based assessment decisions in line with grading criteria, assessment plans, and regulatory requirements.

    * Maintain accurate assessment records and submit assessment outcomes within agreed service levels.

    * Participate in moderation, standardisation, and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency across assessment delivery.

    * Work closely with Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and External Quality Assurance (EQA) teams to maintain compliance with Ofqual and apprenticeship requirements.

    * Act as a Housing subject matter expert, ensuring assessment practice reflects current legislation, professional standards, and sector developments.

    * Contribute to the development and review of assessment materials, grading guidance, and assessment resources to support apprenticeship reform.

    * Collaborate with Quality, Product Development, Operations, and Partnership teams to improve assessment delivery and learner outcomes.

    * Support employers, training providers, and delivery partners by providing guidance on assessment processes and best practice.

    * Analyse assessment feedback and quality data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

    * Promote high standards of professionalism, integrity, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout assessment delivery.

    You will have:

    * Experience delivering End-Point Assessment (EPA), apprenticeship assessment, or vocational qualifications.

    * Occupational competence and industry experience within the Housing sector.

    * Strong knowledge of Housing Apprenticeship Standards at Levels 3–5.

    * Excellent understanding of apprenticeship assessment plans, grading criteria, and regulatory requirements.

    * Experience participating in moderation, standardisation, or quality assurance activities.

    * Ability to make consistent, evidence-based assessment decisions with excellent attention to detail.

    * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, working effectively with employers, providers, and internal teams.

    * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage assessment workloads and meet deadlines.

    * A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality assessment standards.

    Desirable

    * Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).

    * Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) experience or qualification.

    * Knowledge of Ofqual requirements, apprenticeship funding rules, and current apprenticeship reforms.

    * Experience developing assessment materials, assessment guidance, or quality documentation.
