Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South Birmingham on a long-term basis.
This rewarding role involves supporting a small group of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their individual targets in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
Working closely with a group of SEN pupils within the classroom
Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties
Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities where required
Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or SEN setting
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A passion for supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
