How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An opportunity to join a high-performing, 5-star housebuilder with a strong pipeline of residential developments across the South East.

This position is based on a development of approximately 100 traditional build units (low-rise housing), with potential for a larger subsequent phase. We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in driving operations forward, maintaining safety standards and ensuring high-quality handovers.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily build schedules, ensuring sub-contractors and direct labour stay on track with the construction programme.

    * Quality Control: Conduct inspections across all stages of build, driving high craftsmanship standards and minimising snags.

    * Health & Safety: Enforce strict health and safety protocols across the development to uphold an exemplary safety culture.

    * Site Logistics: Assist with material management and delivery schedules to ensure seamless on-site progress.

    * Handover & Customer Care: Prepare completed units for final handovers, ensuring plots meet company standards and buyer expectations.

    Key Requirements

    * Background: Strong track record as an Assistant Site Manager within the residential housing sector.

    * Build Experience: Proven experience with traditional build schemes is essential. Timber frame experience is also beneficial.

    * Certifications: CSCS card, SMSTS (or SSSTS) and First Aid at Work.

    * Management Style: Professional, proactive and effective at driving site teams and subcontractors with strong communication skills.

    * Track Record: Excellent health, safety and compliance record on active or previous sites
