How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The UK's only route of its kind into insurance pricing
Insurance pricing is one of the best-paid, most in-demand analytical careers in the UK and one of the hardest to break into. Until now.
FlarePeople runs the UK's only Recruit-Train-Deploy programme dedicated to insurance pricing. There is no other programme like it. We find the brightest STEM graduates, train them with the best pricing trainers in the country, and place them directly into live pricing teams at major UK insurers.

    Why Insurance pricing?
Pricing analysts don't just crunch numbers. They answer questions with millions of data points and real financial stakes:

How do we price insurance competitively whilst protecting margins?
What patterns in the data signal risk?
Where do we compete, and where do we lead?Your models influence real decisions, real prices and real profit, from day one. It's where data science meets commercial strategy, and demand for good pricing analysts far outstrips supply.

    Your fast-track in
Over 10 weeks, our academy takes you from graduate to job-ready pricing analyst: Python/R, SQL, statistics, Excel and insurance fundamentals, taught by trainers widely regarded as the best in UK pricing — people who have built and led pricing functions at major insurers and trained hundreds of analysts across the industry.
Then we deploy you straight into a live role at a major UK insurer, with a guaranteed progression plan, ongoing mentoring and a cohort of peers alongside you.
No endless applications. No rejection cycles. No uncertainty. You're employed, trained and placed.

    What's on offer

10 weeks of expert-led full time training (pricing, Python/R, SQL, Excel, insurance fundamentals) fully funded and with all expenses paid
