How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary + Bonus

    THE ROLE
    As a Diagnostic Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of premium and luxury vehicles while maintaining the highest manufacturer standards.
    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Diagnosing and rectifying complex mechanical and electrical faults
    ·Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
    ·Using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technology
    ·Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional repair requirements
    ·Accurately completing job cards, health check reports, and workshop documentation
    ·Working collaboratively with colleagues to maximise workshop efficiency
    ·Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping
    ·Delivering exceptional workmanship and first-time fix quality
     
    ABOUT YOU
    We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
    ·Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
    ·Strong diagnostic, electrical, and fault-finding abilities
    ·Experience working with premium or prestige vehicle brands is advantageous but not essential
    ·Up-to-date knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including Hybrid and Electric Vehicle technology
    ·A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
    ·Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
    ·Full UK Manual Driving Licence
    Alternative job titles may include: Diagnostic Technician, Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Senior Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, Automotive Technician or Prestige Vehicle Technician.
