How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Swimming Teacher

Are you looking for work at the weekend? Do you have a love of swimming and a desire to work with babies and children?

This could be the career for you!

We are looking for teachers across London, Surrey and Croydon to enable us to expand in these areas.

Being an Aquatots Teacher is exciting, fun and rewarding! There aren't many jobs where you can boast about teaching lifesaving skills from a tiny baby, right up to achieving their 5 metre distance swim as a toddler - and beyond!

Our teachers will tell you, it doesn't feel like a job at all.

Each week is different and you become just as invested in your little swimmers progress as their parents are.

As you would expect, singing and playing are essential parts of every lesson, but as well as having a splashing good time, we teach our little swimmers and their parents many essential water safety skills.

Why wouldn't you love to be a part of that!

The role is perfect for those looking for well-paid, part-time hours to fit around their family, school terms, and/or other work commitments. A large majority of our swimmers attend their swimming lessons at the weekend, so if you are available to teach on Saturdays or Sundays (or both!) we would love to hear from you!

Becoming an Aquatots Teacher could enable you to work around your usual Monday to Friday job / Studies or around other commitments.

Our teachers are given the very best start with our own in-depth training, it’s fun and really high energy! Being surrounded by likeminded positive and outgoing people who want the same things that you do, you’re likely to make great friends too as well as fabulous colleagues!

We provide full training to allow you to begin your career.

Our training courses are run over a 3-month period and typically include 7 - 10 webinars, trips to our training centre in South Croydon and a visit to our main office in Central Croydon all spread out for your convenience.

This will run alongside action packed pool training sessions which follow a full 9-week Aquatots term and take place in live classes, you’ll be able to choose your preferred training pool from a list which includes weekdays or weekends, so you are able to find what works best for you.

During your training course you will be awarded at least one pool to begin your career. We won't take anyone on to a course where there is no work at the end for them. This is self employed role starting from £11 per class to £17 per class.

Our course only costs £297 to undertake, this includes your DBS, NRASTC course (lifeguarding course) and an emergency responder course all course materials, loan of your teacher uniform and kit once qualified and much much more !

If you already have swim teaching experience, you will undertake the same training as all of our teachers to ensure we can provide the same unique Aquatots programme at all of our venues.
