How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Manager – Manufacturing – Deeside, North Wales – £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits Package

    Principal People are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit a Quality Manager.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to join a growing manufacturing and engineering business and take ownership of the Quality Management System while driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

    The successful candidate will report directly to senior management and play a key role in maintaining and developing the company's Integrated Management System, with a strong focus on quality, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This is a highly visible position with the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders and lead quality initiatives across the business.

    The key duties include:

    Leading and developing the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and continual improvement.
    Managing internal, external, supplier and customer audits while maintaining certification standards.
    Monitoring quality performance, KPIs, non-conformances and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
    Leading root cause analysis and problem-solving activities across manufacturing operations.
    Managing customer quality concerns and ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
    Developing and maintaining quality procedures, documentation and management systems.
    Supporting production teams to improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    Reporting quality performance and improvement initiatives to senior management while supporting wider operational excellence projects.

    We would love to see CVs from people who have:

    Experience managing Quality within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
    Experience leading internal, external and certification audits.
    Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
    A Lead or Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 preferred) would be advantageous
