How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as an IFA Client Services Supervisor on a full-time permanent basis.

    Job Role:

    * Leading, motivating, and developing a team of IFA Client Services Executives and Administrators, creating a positive and high-performing working environment

    * Overseeing the allocation of workloads, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed service levels

    * Monitoring compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures, reviewing work to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements are consistently met

    * Acting as the main point of escalation for complex client, adviser, and administrative queries, delivering effective solutions and exceptional customer service

    * Supporting the ongoing development of the team through coaching, one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and regular team communication

    * Identifying opportunities to improve processes, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvements across the department

    * Producing performance reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and collaborating with senior management to support operational success

    Skills and experience:

    * Previous experience within financial services administration, ideally within an IFA environment

    * Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams

    * Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements within a financial services setting

    * Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines

    * Confident communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with clients, advisers, and internal stakeholders

    * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage escalated queries and implement effective solutions

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific systems, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
