How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Health and Safety Advisor - £60,000-£65,000 + Package – Residential Construction -East Anglia – ID: 11744

Looking for a Health and Safety role where you can genuinely influence culture rather than just carry out audits?

We're working with a growing Residential Construction that has recently restructured its SHE function and is investing heavily in building a proactive safety culture. This is a newly created position supporting projects across the East Anglia region, giving you the opportunity to work closely with operational teams and senior leadership while helping shape standards across a growing business.

With a strong pipeline of projects, ambitious growth plans and an experienced leadership team in place, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its journey.

This is a visible, hands-on position where you'll spend your time on site, coaching teams, influencing behaviours and driving continuous improvement rather than simply policing compliance.

    What’s in it for you:

    Salary of £60,000 - £65,000
    Bonus scheme
    Enhanced pension
26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
    Holiday buy scheme
    Life assurance
    Employee Assistance Programme
Hybrid working with flexibility around site visits and regional offices
The opportunity to join a growing business with clear long-term investment and ambitious expansion plans.
    What you will be doing:

Build positive relationships with site management and operational teams
Carry out site inspections, audits and performance reviews
Coach and influence teams to improve SHE culture
Support investigations into incidents and ensure lessons learned are implemented
Assist with CDM meetings, pre-construction planning and risk management
Monitor compliance with company standards and UK legislation
Contribute to regional improvement plans and health and safety objectives
Promote a proactive, collaborative approach to health and safety across the business
    What they are looking for:

NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate (minimum)
    NEBOSH Diploma (Desirable)
Residential Construction experience would be ideal, although wider construction backgrounds will also be considered
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Someone who enjoys being on site, building relationships and influencing positive behaviours
Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously across multiple projects
If you're looking for a role where you'll be trusted to make an impact, influence senior stakeholders and help shape the future of health and safety within a growing housebuilder, we'd like to hear from you.
