How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Overview
    We are seeking a dedicated and organised Parts Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing parts inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational and communication skills to develop their career within a dynamic automotive or maintenance environment. The role is paid and suitable for those who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

    Duties

    * Assist customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts efficiently and accurately

    * Maintain organised stock levels and ensure parts are correctly labelled and stored

    * Process orders using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software systems

    * Provide excellent phone etiquette when liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams

    * Manage incoming parts deliveries and organise maintenance schedules as required

    * Keep detailed records of transactions, returns, and stock movements

    * Support the team with general administrative tasks related to parts management

    * Ensure the workshop or service area is kept tidy and compliant with safety standards

    * Ideally be able to use 1-Link.

    * The role is for a fleet company, so the ordering and dealing with is all over the phone, no customer facing work.

    Experience

    * Previous experience in a similar Parts Advisor or automotive retail role is advantageous but not essential

    * Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base

    * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective customer service

    * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for inventory management and reporting purposes

    * Excellent phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries professionally

    * Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment

    * Knowledge of vehicle maintenance or parts is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed
