How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate .NET Developer

    Are you a recent graduate with a passion for technology and software development? We're looking for a motivated Graduate .NET Developer to join our growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience developing and supporting business-critical systems while working alongside experienced developers in a collaborative environment.

    As a Graduate .NET Developer, you'll play an active role in the development, maintenance, testing, and support of our internal systems. You'll be given the opportunity to learn new technologies, contribute to exciting projects, and develop your technical and professional skills.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Assist in the development of new applications and enhancement of existing systems.
    Support and maintain business-critical software systems.
    Produce program specifications for system changes and new developments.
    Write, test, and maintain code across a variety of technologies used within the department.
    Ensure all solutions are thoroughly tested and documented.
    Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, escalating where appropriate.
    Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions and support services.
    Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, processes, and best practices.
    Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
    Support wider team activities and projects as required.
    What We're Looking For

    Essential

    Qualifications

    Degree (BSc/BA) with a Computing, Software Development, Computer Science, or related element.
    GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
    Knowledge & Skills

    Understanding of programming principles and software development.
    Experience with at least one programming language.
    Knowledge of database design concepts.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Logical and methodical approach to work.
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    Personal Attributes
