How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Groundworker, Dumper Driver or 360 Excavator Operator with drainage and finishing groundworks experience

    Workshop Recruitment are recruiting for two operatives to join a busy civils project in Aldershot. We are looking for Groundworkers with Dumper tickets, 360 Excavator Operators (10 Ton Above & Below), and Groundworker/Digger Drivers who are happy working both on and off the machine. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor on a hands-on project with the potential for ongoing work for the right person.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out all aspects of groundworks to a high standard.
    Install underground storm and foul drainage systems.
    Operate a 360 Excavator (10 Ton Above & Below) where applicable.
    Operate a dumper where required.
    Excavate and construct headwalls using sandbags.
    Complete finishing groundworks and site preparation.
    Work safely around existing underground services.
    Assist with general site duties and support the wider site team.

    Skills & Qualifications Required

    Valid CSCS Card.
    NPORS or CPCS 360 Excavator ticket (10 Ton Above & Below) for machine operators.
    Dumper ticket for Groundworker/Labourer roles.
    Proven experience in drainage, excavation and finishing groundworks.
    Experience installing underground storm and foul drainage.
    Ability to work on and off the machine when required.
    DBS Check preferred.
    Able to provide two recent work references.
    Live in good travelling distance of Aldershot.

    What's on Offer

    £21.00–£23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
    Weekly pay.
    Start date: 3rd August.
