Elland Steel Structures is looking for a Machine Operator to join its busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating machinery within a steel production environment who is looking to develop their skills with full training provided.
The Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a laser machine within the workshop, alongside supporting other production machinery including the Voortman Saw/Drill and Shot Blaster machines.
This is an operator role only-no machine setting or programming experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Duties Include
Operating a laser machine within the workshop
Operating Voortman saw/drill machinery
Operating shot blasting equipment
Material handling and movement of steel sections
Working from production schedules
Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Previous machine operating experience within a steel production or heavy manufacturing environment
Experience handling steel or heavy materials would be advantageous
Good attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Comfortable working within a busy workshop environmentFull training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Hours
Monday - Thursday: 6:45am - 3:15pm
Friday: 6:45am - 11:45am
Regular overtime available throughout the week.
