How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Paying £27,000 + Benefits + Parking - Based in Oldham, North Manchester our client is a successful engineering business that are looking for an experienced Administrator to join their expanding major projects team.

    This is an office-based role, working 8am to 4.30pm Monday – Friday.

    THE JOB

    Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator, as Project Administrator you will be responsible for managing the back-office administration function for the major projects team.

    As Project Administrator your duties will include:

    Logging tender information onto the CRM system

    Creating new projects on the CRM system

    Ensuring Engineer timesheet information is received in a timely manner

    Entering and posting Engineer timesheets daily

    Creating purchase orders in accordance with instructions and organising deliveries

    Approving small purchase invoices

    Assisting the Project Coordinator with a variety of tasks

    Providing administration support to the Project Sales team

    Providing administration support to the field team

    Managing Engineer’s holiday request forms

    Ensuring any project related issues are highlighted and resolved to completion

    THE PERSON

    Excellent communicator both verbally and written

    Highly organised and able to forward plan

    Excellent people skills

    Flexibility and willingness to learn

    A professional person, able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people

    Level-headed, and capable of keeping order in a hectic working environment

    Self-motivated, able to independently prioritise

    Strong IT skills including all the MS Office package
