You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with current UK legislation. You'll become a trusted point of contact for your clients, providing expert advice and resolving payroll queries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish
Processing payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
Handling BACS payments and liaising with HMRC on PAYE matters
Providing expert guidance on payroll legislation and employment-related issues
Processing complex payroll calculations including statutory payments, holiday pay, termination payments and benefits
Supporting colleagues across the wider payroll team during busy periods
Assisting with payroll system implementation and continuous process improvements
Building strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication
You'll ideally have:
Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation
Experience processing payrolls from start to finish
Knowledge of BACS payments and HMRC processes
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet strict deadlines
Experience handling complex payroll calculations including SMP, SPP, ShPP, holiday pay, termination payments, Benefits in Kind and Alabaster calculations
Experience using PayCircle and/or IRIS Payroll Professional
This role can be considered 100% remote. Experience with both Paycircle and IRIS Payroll Professional will be essential due to the implementation.
