How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

    📍 Covering London & Home Counties
    💰 £46,000+ DOE + Call-Out + Excellent Benefits

    Looking for a company that values its engineers and doesn't expect you to spend your life sitting in traffic?

    We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing and well-established team. You'll work across a varied portfolio carrying out planned maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and installations on commercial and residential mechanical systems throughout London and the Home Counties.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, servicing, fault finding and installation work across a range of commercial mechanical systems.

    Your day-to-day will include:

    *

    Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

    *

    HIU servicing, fault finding and breakdown repairs

    *

    Reactive maintenance and emergency call-outs

    *

    Mechanical installations and commissioning

    *

    Working on pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, calorifiers, plate heat exchangers and water softeners

    *

    Servicing AHUs, FCUs and ventilation systems

    *

    Diagnosing and repairing mechanical plant faults

    *

    Completing service reports and job documentation

    *

    Building strong relationships with clients and site teams

    *

    Identifying remedial works and providing recommendations

    What We're Looking For

    You'll have experience working within commercial mechanical maintenance and be confident working independently across multiple sites.

    Ideally you'll have:

    *

    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    *

    Experience with commercial heating, HVAC and mechanical plant

    *

    HIU servicing experience

    *

    Good understanding of Health & Safety and industry standards

    *

    Excellent communication and customer service skills

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence
