How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We're recruiting a Senior Support Worker | Team Leader to join a dedicated team supporting young people in an Ofsted registered children's home in Ealing.

    The Role
    As a Senior Support Worker | Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts, supporting colleagues and ensuring young people receive the highest standard of care.
    You'll be responsible for:
    * Leading shifts and supporting the daily operation of the home.
    * Acting as a positive role model and providing guidance to Support Workers.
    * Supporting young people with their emotional wellbeing, education and independence.
    * Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
    * Completing accurate records, reports and risk assessments.
    * Contributing to care planning and key working responsibilities.
    * Promoting safeguarding and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
    * Liaising professionally with social workers, local authorities, education providers and other professionals.
    * Deputising for the Registered Manager when required.
    About You
    We're looking for someone who is passionate about changing lives and confident leading by example.
    You'll ideally have:
    * Experience working within a children's residential home or supported accommodation setting.
    * Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
    * Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to progress.
    * Good knowledge of safeguarding and children's legislation.
    * Strong communication and leadership skills.
    * The ability to remain calm, resilient and solution focused.
    * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards it) is desirable.
    * Full UK driving licence is desirable.
