How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Supported Accommodation or Children's Residential Manager looking for the opportunity to build and shape a brand-new service?

    We are recruiting for a passionate and ambitious Registered Service Manager to lead a beautifully furnished, newly developed Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16-18 in the Coventry and Nuneaton area.

    This is a unique opportunity to become the founding Registered Manager of a new service, giving you the autonomy to create a positive culture, recruit your own team, and develop an outstanding service that genuinely changes young people's lives.

    You'll be fully supported throughout the registration process and beyond by an experienced and highly involved Responsible Individual, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes.

    If you're looking for a role where your ideas, leadership and passion will have a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.

    The Role

    As Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and compliance of the service, ensuring young people receive outstanding support as they prepare for adulthood and independent living.

    You will:

    * Lead the day-to-day operation of the service in line with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.

    * Prepare the service for registration and future Ofsted inspections.

    * Develop a positive, child-centred and trauma-informed culture.

    * Recruit, lead, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team.

    * Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of everything the service delivers.

    * Complete audits, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement plans.

    * Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and outcomes for young people.

    * Develop person-centred support plans focused on independence, education, employment and emotional wellbeing.

    * Support young people to develop practical life skills including budgeting, cooking, tenancy readiness, health management and positive relationships.

    * Build excellent working relationships with Local Authorities, Social Workers, Personal Advisers, education providers, healthcare professionals and other partner agencies.

    * Represent the service professionally at placement reviews, commissioning meetings and Ofsted inspections.

    * Ensure accurate records, reports and compliance documentation are maintained at all times.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and excited by the opportunity to establish a brand-new service.

    Essential Requirements

    * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, Leadership and Management, or another qualification accepted by Ofsted for Supported Accommodation registration.

    * At least 1 year's management experience within Supported Accommodation, Residential Childcare, Leaving Care, Housing Support or a similar regulated setting.

    * Minimum 2 years' experience supporting vulnerable young people aged 16-18 or within children's social care.

    * Strong understanding of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.

    * Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and partnership working.

    * Understanding of trauma-informed practice, adolescent development and contextual safeguarding.

    * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop others.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    * Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.

    * Full UK driving licence is desirable.

    Why Join Us?

    * Salary of £50,000 - £55,000.

    * Opportunity to build and shape a brand-new service from the ground up.

    * Beautifully furnished, purpose-designed accommodation.

    * Strong support from an experienced Responsible Individual and senior leadership team.

    * Genuine autonomy to create your own culture and develop your own team.

    * Excellent opportunity to progress within a growing organisation.

    * Make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people preparing for independence.

    If you're ready to lead a service where you can genuinely make your mark while helping young people build brighter futures, we'd love to hear from you.
