How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ·        Evaluate supplier pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings and commercial efficiencies.

    ·        Carry out Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) to monitor project financial performance and profitability.

    ·        Support Main Contract Reviews, including programme requirements, delivery schedules and commercial obligations.

    ·        Work collaboratively with Sales Estimating, Design, Operations and Logistics teams to support successful project delivery.

    ·        Triage incoming enquiries, identifying potential opportunities and allocating suitable enquiries to the Sales Estimating team.

    ·        Maintain accurate estimating records and project information across CRM and business management systems.

    ·        Support effective project handovers to operational teams, ensuring all commercial and estimating information is complete and accurate.

    ·        Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures, quality standards and ISO requirements.

    About You

You will be a highly organised and commercially aware professional with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and numerical skills.

You will ideally have experience working within an estimating, commercial or project-based environment and be comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications and project information.

    ·        Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently.

    ·        A collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally.

    ·        Competent using Microsoft Office and estimating or business management software.

    ·        Committed to delivering consistently high standards of accuracy, quality and customer service.

    Desirable Experience

The following experience would be advantageous:

    ·        Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:30pm.

    ·        Early finish on Fridays at 4:30pm.

    ·        21 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

    ·        Bonus scheme based on company profitability.
