Assistant Estimator roles & responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Measuring quantities and producing take-offs.
Obtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Preparing pricing schedules and cost comparisons.
Supporting value engineering exercises and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Maintaining accurate estimating records and databases.
Liaising with commercial, design and operational teams throughout the bid process.
Supporting handovers to project delivery teams following successful tenders.Assistant Estimator requirements
HNC, HND or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
Experience within the built or fit out environment
