An exciting opportunity for a technically minded Business Development Manager with an electrical background to join a well-established specialist contractor in a newly created role, where you will play a key part in bringing fixed wire testing services in-house and driving the growth of a new area of the business.

This established specialist contractor operates across the UK, delivering electrical, works to commercial and industrial clients. Working with contractors, architects, and end users, the business has built a strong reputation and continues to grow.
The business is now bringing fixed wire testing services in-house, having previously outsourced this work to subcontractors. They are looking for a commercially focused Business Development Manager to establish the service, develop client relationships, generate new opportunities, and support the growth of the wider team.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, ideally as an electrician or within electrical services, alongside sales or business development experience. You will be confident meeting clients, understanding requirements, and pricing electrical works.

The Role:
* Developing new business opportunities for fixed wire testing and electrical services
* Building relationships with commercial clients and contractors
* Meeting clients to understand requirements and identify opportunities
* Preparing and pricing quotations for electrical works
* Supporting the growth of the new service offering
The Person:
* Electrical background with relevant industry experience
* Sales or business development experience
* Experience quoting or pricing electrical works
* Strong technical and commercial understanding
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
