How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Youth Work in Education - SEN Support Roles, September Start

    Are you a former youth worker, carer, counsellor, mentor, or graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or a related profession?

    We are working with a number of welcoming primary and secondary schools across Barnet and Enfield who are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed individuals for September starts, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

    This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while making a genuine difference to the lives of children with SEN, whether you're coming from a background in youth work, care, counselling, mentoring, or straight from graduation.

    The Role

    Full-time, Monday to Friday

    Anyone with a genuine passion for supporting children, regardless of backgroundWe are looking for candidates who:

    Have experience with SEN, whether through work, volunteering, or personal circumstances
    Live in Barnet or Enfield, or are able to commute to the area easily
    Can commit to working five days per week during term time
    Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to complete one through us
    Are passionate about supporting children and helping them reach their full potential
