How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: West Drayton, West London
    Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
    Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
    Salary: £210 - £250 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

    Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well-established independent specialist school in West Drayton, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and associated learning needs. The school provides a nurturing, therapeutic environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.

    Working as part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping students develop the functional, sensory and life skills needed to thrive both in education and beyond.

    The Role

    As the school's Occupational Therapist, you will:

    Assess pupils' functional, sensory and motor needs using evidence-based practice.
    Develop and implement personalised occupational therapy programmes to support students in achieving their educational and personal goals.
    Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to each learner's needs.
    Provide sensory integration strategies and recommendations to improve engagement and participation within the classroom.
    Work closely with teachers, Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists and families to create holistic support plans.
    Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), annual reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
    Offer training and guidance to school staff on occupational therapy strategies and sensory regulation. About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy.
    Current HCPC registration.
    Experience working with children or young people with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, sensory processing differences and additional learning needs.
    Strong knowledge of sensory integration and therapeutic interventions within educational settings.
    Excellent communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
    The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and multidisciplinary professionals. What You'll Receive
