How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Opportunity

    A leading organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of Supply Chain to lead and develop their end-to-end supply chain function. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic procurement, planning, inventory optimisation, supplier performance, logistics excellence, and continuous operational improvement.

    The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting business growth, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the supply chain function delivers outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.

    The Role

    Reporting into the Operations Leadership Team, the Head of Supply Chain will take overall responsibility for:

    Strategic procurement and category management
    Demand planning, forecasting, and material planning
    Inventory management and optimisation
    Supplier relationship management
    Contract and SLA management
    Warehousing and logistics operations
    ERP process development and optimisation
    Supply chain performance and continuous improvement
    Leadership, development, and engagement of the Supply Chain team

    Key Responsibilities

    Supply Chain Leadership

    Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
    Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
    Drive cost reduction and operational efficiency programmes.
    Establish and manage departmental KPIs and performance measures.
    Support the development and implementation of an effective S&OP process.

    Procurement & Supplier Management

    Develop and execute category management strategies.
    Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
    Negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and service level arrangements.
    Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs.
    Identify opportunities to improve quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.

    Planning & Inventory

    Oversee demand forecasting and materials planning activities.
    Ensure inventory levels are optimised to support business requirements.
    Drive improvements in inventory accuracy and stock control.
    Minimise slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
    Develop robust production scheduling processes.

    Warehouse & Logistics

    Ensure efficient warehouse operations and service to manufacturing.
    Optimise inbound and outbound logistics flows.
    Review opportunities for warehousing and distribution improvements.
    Deliver high levels of service while controlling operational costs.

    ERP & Process Improvement

    Promote effective utilisation of ERP systems.
    Improve data accuracy, reporting, and process efficiency.
    Drive best-practice supply chain processes throughout the business.

    Leadership & Development

    Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
    Set clear objectives aligned with company strategy.
    Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    Ensure employees have the skills, tools, and support required to succeed.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will be a confident supply chain leader capable of operating at both strategic and operational levels.

    They will ideally possess:

    Significant experience in a senior supply chain leadership role.
    Strong background in procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and warehousing.
    Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiation.
    Expertise in ERP systems and process improvement.
    Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability.
    Experience developing and managing KPIs and performance frameworks.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    The ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organisational change.
