How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HV Project Manager (HV AP / SAP)

    Salary: Up to £60,000 + On-Call Allowance
    Location: UK Wide Travel – Hybrid (Home / Field / Office)

    The Role

    We are looking for an experienced HV Project Manager (HV AP/SAP) to join our Operations & Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation, maintenance, and improvement of high voltage assets across the UK.

    You will manage HV works, coordinate contractors, support switching operations, and ensure all activities are completed safely and efficiently across a portfolio of renewable energy sites.

    This is a predominantly home and field-based role, requiring UK-wide travel with occasional office attendance.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage HV remedial works, faults, maintenance activities, and project delivery across renewable energy assets.

    * Act as an HV Authorised Person / Senior Authorised Person for HV and LV networks.

    * Approve RAMS, switching schedules, permits, and ensure safe systems of work are followed.

    * Coordinate HV contractors, audits, quality checks, and compliance activities.

    * Support and mentor HV engineers and authorised personnel.

    * Provide technical support to clients, engineers, and internal teams.

    Essential Requirements

    * HV Authorised Person (HV AP) qualification with strong HV operational experience.

    * Experience working on HV networks, switching operations, or electrical infrastructure.

    * Strong understanding of electrical safety rules and safe systems of work.

    * Ability to manage contractors, stakeholders, and HV projects.

    Desirable

    * HV SAP experience.

    * Renewable energy, utilities, DNO, or power generation background.

    * HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or relevant electrical qualifications.

    * IOSH, NEBOSH, SSSTS, or SMSTS.
